WhatTheFawk?!?!

This may be, no is by far the craziest, weirdest, most strange music video I have ever seen. Period.

Here I was trying to unwind from a long week by casually watching music videos when I stumbled upon this, this... thing. Yes, thing because I have no better way of explaining it.

My expression went from interest (who's Hot Chip?), to amusement (haha. Oh European boy bands), to bewilderment (what the...), to a straight-forward no holds bar "What the fawk?!" I refrain from writing the actual word here because I want to keep this blog relatively clean but that's exactly what I said. Mouth dropped, eyes enlarged:

What. The. Fawk.

I must say that because of this I will no longer even pass through mtvU. In its defense this channel usually plays "out there" music but this, this was just too much. But without further ado here it is:

Not for the faint of heart...

update: a quick Google search on the band showed that (a) I was right. They are European. British to be specific and (b) ... actually it's more fun if I don't mention b.

Thursday

Really?!

I just made up a song & dance about a hyperactive jellyfish...

oh the things I do to keep myself awake.

Inspiration #2

While at Home Depot, buying plants, my mom and I were rung up by one of the liveliest people I think I have ever met.

His name was Josh and from the moment he opened his mouth he was making jokes whether it be ringing up our purchases with a southern accent, complimenting our selection with an effeminate "Oh my goodness" or imitating his puppy waking him up in the morning, extended tongue and all. It was as if Robin Williams and Jim Carrey had a love child. Hahah. He even said himself,

"I love acting this way [i.e. being silly] with customers.
I love my job.
"

Goes to show you that every situation is only as fun as you make it. Who knew I would exit a Home Depot with my sides hurting from laughing so hard.

Kudos to you Josh. Kudos.

Let's Grow

For the past 2 quarters I've been volunteering at my school's community garden and with that comes some gardening knowledge, so when my mom simply asked me to water her strawberry plant I replied, "You should really transplant this into the ground. That way the roots can spread out and produce more strawberries," which she responded with,

"Okay then. You can transplant it and while we're at it we should plant some vegetables!"

My stupid big mouth.

But to be honest, it actually turned out fine. I got some fresh air and sunshine, a chance to put my "gardening expertise" to practice, and was able to spend some much needed time with my mom. I can't wait for them to grow!

Bad News Bears

Or more like Bad News Gummi Bears.

Somethings just aren't as sweet as they seem. No worries though. The true, genuine, and mouth-watering 100% pure sugar cane is right around the corner. Trust.

if the alright is just right

Tuesday

While getting ready for bed I was shocked to see a cricket in the corner of my bathroom counter. Insects aren't the norm in this apartment. I'm yet to see so much as an ant crawl across a counter (thank goodness). What was most unusual, though, was that instead of my typical:

"Ahh! Insect!" //grabs shoe Smash!!!

response something told me to capture it and let it go. This may sound lame, but as soon as I saw this thing I pictured Mulan with her good luck charm, Crickee:

I am far from cunning so I attribute the capture to the cricket's slow nature. Either it was old or not so bothered with being trapped. Either way it was released back into the wild (i.e. outside my front door) and free to do, well... whatever it is crickets do.

I just hope this means some good luck is in my future.

//fingers crossed

ThankYou

to the 21st century.

I must say, I love the world we live in. Technology is so advanced that it still puts my head in a tizzy. I'm so out of touch when it comes to some things (I still have trouble maneuvering around an iPhone) but in touch enough to participate in other things like online chatting. yay!!

who knew that in a span of two, yes TWO days, I would chat with two lovely ladies that I never get to talk to?

Monday was Oovoo with my sis Jalisa:

She just randomly texted, "Let's video chat!" so I quickly downloaded it and talked away. It was so much fun!

Then today was Skype with Hannah:

Again, I got an out-of-the-blue text saying, "Get on Skype!" so I went on and at first conference called with her and Mira but then the call went dead so I picked it up again with Hannah. Sadly, class trumps video chatting so part II should happen in say 8 hours? Yes, that means 6 am i.e. me waking up 3 hours earlier than I need to.

Usually sleep > everything but I'm willing to make an exception. I love this girl that much. ♥

update: I ended up not needing to wake up early AND still got a part II. Can anyone say win-win?

Redo

Usually I'm happy with how life turns out but sometimes I wish there was a Ctrl Z button for life. I could use one, especially after my physics midterm today.
Aye yi yi...
