For the past week or so I've had Amerie's debut album All I Have on repeat. What's strange, though, is that it's not Amerie in particular that I love but more so the simplistic yet effective writing and producing style of Rich Harrison. In all honesty, these songs could be sung by any artist and I would love them just as much. I do have to give props when props are due and Amerie certainly does her thing on this album but at the end of the day it's the songs themselves- the lyrics, vocal arrangements, beats- that get me every time.
