I play this game so much it's ridiculous. I remember one time telling my mom how excited I was that I made the leaderboard that day. Her reply?

"Good Job!...
...You really need to get a life."

Day 04- My self-portrait

The more I looked at my self-portrait the more I didn't like it so I've replaced it with this picture instead, the one I wanted to originally post but decided against because the prompt called for a recent, self-taken portrait. Or at least that's what I thought it wanted but to hell with it. I'd rather go against a prompt than have a slightly unflattering picture up for the world to see (though who says this is any more flattering hahah). Plus this one is a genuine smile and taken with one of my fave people in the world. Love you sis!

For the past week or so I've had Amerie's debut album All I Have on repeat. What's strange, though, is that it's not Amerie in particular that I love but more so the simplistic yet effective writing and producing style of Rich Harrison. In all honesty, these songs could be sung by any artist and I would love them just as much. I do have to give props when props are due and Amerie certainly does her thing on this album but at the end of the day it's the songs themselves- the lyrics, vocal arrangements, beats- that get me every time.

Day 02-The List

I was afraid that this list would contain only 4 bullets because my days are rather boring but Monday was refreshingly fun-filled:

• soc lecture
• yummy blueberry-banana smoothie
• soc discussion (ended 20min early)
• visit from Heather
• swimming at UVT's pool because my pool was occupied
  
• came home, showered, dressed
• visited Heather's rented house
• had yummy shrimp linguine
• chatted it up with the housemates
• got home around 1am
• slept
  

Day 01- Introduce yourself

I like to think the banner says it all.

My name is Ciku (pronounced shE-kO) and I truly am a vibrant, talkative, almost always confused young-adult with a lot on her mind. My parents hail from Kenya so I identify myself as a Kenyan-American although I really am more American than anything else. I don't even understand my languages! But I am working on it.

I'm a third year Chem major (yay?) and uber ready to gtfoh. College is lame but I have to do it. Besides, there isn't anything else I could see myself doing right now so torture college it is. /sigh

In regards to school I can sound a bit bitter but other than that I tend to have a cheerful disposition. I try to focus on the positive things in life and find reasons to be grateful for each day. Sounds cheesy, I know, but its true.
